Grad Fellowship this week (April 23-29)

This week in Grad Fellowship & Beyond:

This is finals week and Grad Fellowship is officially on hiatus until the week of May 13 at which time we’ll start up our summer schedule of events. This applies to all our activities except the T.S. Eliot group. Stay tuned for a further update on that.

I will be in Durham, NC this weekend, but if anyone wants to organize an impromptu celebration for the end of the semester let me know and I will see that the word is spread far-and-wide (jwoodham@gfmse.org)

May the Lord bless and strengthen each of you in all that each of you have to do this week.

Here is the grad fellowship schedule for this week. Take special note of the prayer vigil on Wednesday night in Werkmeister reading room at Dodd Hall. If you don’t go to that part of campus a map to it is here: http://www.fsu.edu/cgi-bin/map/zoom?LIST=44. If you need better directions call, 212-0734, or e-mail me. The event is from 8P – 1A and is a come and go sort of thing. If you can only stop in for five minutes don’t let that stop you. I’m attaching a flyer for the event in Word as well.

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a joyful Easter.

April is torture-month for most graduate students, and I know it is for many of you. We’ll be holding a prayer-vigil for finals, papers, grading and other end-of-the-semester dragons you all have to slay next week on the evening of the18th. More details are to follow soon. In the meantime put it on your calendar, and if you can’t come think about sending us any prayer requests you’d like for us to remember. My e-mail is jwoodham@gfmse.org.

Given that we are in the home stretch for the semester this is the last week we’ll have a full schedule of regular activities until summer classes get cranking. Here they are.

Tuesday night: Coffee Pub night at 6:30. A come-and-go evening of agenda-less fun at the Coffee Pub

Thursday night: Bible Study on the Book of Hebrews also at 6:30 and also at the Coffee Pub. The study lasts until 8.

Saturday morning: the T.S. Eliot group is meeting at 10:30 at Katie & Travis’s house. They will be starting a discussion on “the Four Quartets” the full text of which is online here: http://www.tristan.icom43.net/quartets/

--the Screwtape Letters Group is not meeting this week, but will resume next Saturday evening.

Let me know if you have questions about anything.
