SCHEDULE FOR 11/20-11/25

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone,

We have an abbreviated schedule for this week. We have no official gathering for Thanksgiving, but this weekend the C.S. Lewis group is inviting everybody to join them for a fireside viewing (complete w/ cheesecake homemead by yours truly) of the movie Shadowlands. Further details are below.

Saturday Night: 6:30 PM-ish Watch Shadowlands with the C.S. Lewis group. Shadowlands is the 1993 movie that tells the story of C.S. Lewis’s romance and marriage with Joy Davidman. The group is meeting at Samantha & Wade Bradt’s house; 1509 Hilltop Drive, 32303. Call Wade at 284-4324 for more information.

The Pizza night is still on for this evening. It’s at Decent Pizza on N. Monroe. Decent Pizza is smack dab between 3rd and 4th Avenues for those of you who’ve never been. It starts at 6:30. Call 212-0734 if you have any questions.

The C.S. Lewis/Screwtape Letters group is tomorrow night at Samanth & Wade’s house, 7 PM. The address is 1509 Hilltop Dr. 32303. Call 284-4324 if you’ve got questions on how to get there. This week’s reading is Ch. 6 of the Screwtape Letters. The reading is very short, and we always recite the reading out-loud at the group so if you don’t have a copy of the Screwtape Letters don’t let that stop you from coming.

Pizza night for tonight is cancelled!!! But we will be doing it next week at the same, same place.

I encourage you all to come out to the Screwtape Letters Group tommorrow night at Bev Lewis's house (NO PETS live there Marsha!). That's at 7 PM. Bev lives at 2913 Gallahadion Court. Here's how you get there. Take Thomasville Rd. North of I-10 to the intersection with Kerry Forest Pkwy and turn right (Wal-Mart and ABC Liquor is on the left side fo the road). Follow Kerry Forest Parkway to where it dead ends into a roundabout with the intersection with Shannon Lakes Road. Go left out of the Roundabout, and after about .1 of a mile turn left onto Whirlaway Trail. Gallahadion Ct. is your first right and is a Cul-de-Sac. Bev's house will be to your center-right as you come into the Cul-de-Sac.

The reading for Saturday night is Ch. 5 of the SL. Discussion questions are at www.screwtape-letters.blogspot.com. The readings are so short that we have printouts and read them together at the group anyway though.
